John Leffingwell is the principal of Woodreeve Consulting. He has over 20 years of experience working as an arborist and urban forester, with extensive experience in tree preservation for development, risk assessment, urban forestry management, site and resource analysis and urban-wildland interface management. 

John maintains the highest professional standards and credentials.  His background includes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Botany from California State University, Humboldt (1995)

• Master’s degree in Forestry from the University of California, Berkeley (2002)

• 15+ years working for HortScience, Inc.

• San Francisco Urban Forestry Council (2012-2015)

• American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA) board of directors (2015-2020)

• President of ASCA in 2019

• International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Tree Fund Committee member (2020-present)
